In Launch Pad, players construct varying models of interstellar rockets, advance them to quality control, and ready them for launch. Experts, including engineers, quality inspectors and mission controllers, must be present at each level of construction in order for the rockets to advance. Action cards allow players to sabotage, destroy and otherwise wreak havoc upon other players' progress. Specialty cards give players a special ability, such as extra defense or increased efficiency. While players struggle to build, attack and defend rockets, the launch pad is also under construction. As soon as it’s completed, the rockets that are ready will launch and score points, with all the others being left behind.
